Reports to: General Manager - Finance & Administration
Salary Band: £25,500 to £35,000 with a Balloon Payment payable of £1,000 after 9 months
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract type: 10 month FTC
Job Purpose:
To ensure customer payments are received in a timely manner, dealing with all necessary queries. Liaising with all departments to ensure queries are dealt with promptly.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Setting up new accounts and ensuring that the correct paperwork has been received
- Maintaining existing Customer files and database
- Timely and effective collection of all debts and customers payments
- Meet cash and debtor day monthly targets
- Ensure that monthly processing procedures are met as required
- Send out monthly Customer Statements
- Chase overdue invoices by telephone, email and letter, within agreed timescale
- Maintaining contact with clients to ensure invoices are clear for payment
- Provide the customer with account reconciliations as and when required
- Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity
- Identify changes in payment patterns and propose action to avert a bad debt
- Ensuring good relations and communications with all members of the team, internally and externally
- Posting and allocating daily receipts to Customer Accounts
- Providing accounts information to Area Sales Teams as and when requested and attending Monthly Sales Meetings
- Maintaining the confidentiality of the Finance Department at all times
