Tax Senior

Grafton Banks Finance is recruiting for a Tax Senior for an independent firm in the local area. They are a growing, modern accountancy practice who are looking to expand it's tax division with two new tax hires and they are interested in hearing from candidates who have qualifications within ATT/CTA or who have a strong background within taxation.

They are looking for someone to join their personal tax department to deal with compliance work, and compliance and advisory work including self-assessment, IHT, and CGT. The overall objectives of the role are to take control and responsibility over personal tax clients; maintain control and responsibility over budgets, briefing and supervision of allocated personal tax clients; manage and train junior members of staff and ensure staff are properly supervised and allocated work.

The role involves supervising and managing a client portfolio as allocated, as well as one off projects, to a high standard; managing the work in progress and invoicing promptly to keep WIP as low as possible and assisting the partner to meet office billing targets; dealing with client correspondence and HMRC as necessary.

The successful candidate will enjoy managing and developing other more junior staff members and be able to delegate work appropriately. You must also have a strong interest in client development and maintenance of existing relationships. The firm is a dynamic and ambitious and seeks an individual with the same outlook.
