Finance Manager – Day Shift – Swindon

Our client is a well‑reputed company located in the Swindon area, accessible by public transport, and we are recruiting a Finance Manager for a day‑shift role. Compensation ranges from £15.50 to £17.50 per hour, dependent on experience.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar role – ideally in manufacturing, an auditing, or an advisory firm.
  • Ability to manage and optimise growing accounting, controlling, and tax processes as the central contact person within the organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Eagerness to grow and to take on more responsibility in the future.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as pro Alpha or SAP S/4

    HANA is preferable.
Hours and Pay
  • 8 am – 5 pm.
  • Monday‑Friday, with occasional flexible hours to meet deadlines.
  • Pay: £15.50 to £17.50 per hour, depending on experience.
Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee all accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, cost accounting, and inventory accounting.
  • Prepare timely monthly financial statements and ensure compliance with IFRS and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Provide support for the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, report variances, and analyse financial data to support decision‑making.
  • Coordinate and oversee the preparation of tax returns.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Coordinate and oversee external audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, and support month‑end and year‑end close processes.
