Credit Analyst Haydock Haydock | Monday to Friday | 8:30am 5:00pm | 37.5 hours per week Speedy Hire is the UK's leading hire provider with the widest range of tools, specialist hire equipment, plant and support services everything for every job. We're looking for a Credit Analyst to join our Transactional Finance team based in Haydock. This is an exciting opportunity for an analytical and commercially minded individual to play a key role in protecting the business by assessing and managing customer credit risk, while supporting sustainable business growth.

Working closely with the Head of Credit Risk, you'll be responsible for analysing customer creditworthiness, monitoring our credit portfolio, supporting new account onboarding, and providing valuable insight that enables informed credit decisions across the business. What you'll be doing As a Credit Analyst, your responsibilities will include:
Assessing new and existing customers through financial analysis, credit assessments and due diligence checks. Supporting the onboarding of new credit customers, ensuring all applications comply with Company policies, Delegation of Authority and Group Credit Policy. Monitoring customer credit limits and reviewing them to ensure they remain appropriate to the level of risk. Producing regular credit risk reports and analysis to support effective business decision making.

Identifying emerging risks, market trends and economic developments, making recommendations to mitigate risk. Supporting the Head of Credit Risk with portfolio management and risk monitoring activities. Providing guidance to Credit Control and New Accounts teams on customer exposures and credit referrals. Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business to communicate credit risk effectively. Contributing to continuous improvements that balance risk management with commercial growth.

What we're looking for To be successful in this role you'll have:
Previous experience within a credit risk, financial analysis or similar risk-focused role. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial information and assess risk. Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate reports. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. A logical, methodical approach with excellent problem-solving abilities. The ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
