Reed Recruitment is working with a prestigious Charitable Organisation with offices based in Belfast City Centre. Our client has an immediate requirement for a full-time Part Qualified Accountant/ Accounting Technician to join their team on a full-time basis, for an initial 12-month fixed term contract with possible extension.

The successful applicant will be offered a full-time 37-hour contract, working within a fast paced and busy Finance team, that offers flexible working, and hybrid working ( 2 days in office, 3 days at home.

The successful applicant will be responsible for completing the following daily duties;

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Support Finance Business Partners in delivering a proactive and value-adding finance service
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary
  • Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts, working with service managers to ensure assumptions are robust and aligned to operational plans
  • Assist with in-year reforecasting
  • Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Assist in preparing financial information for funding applications, tenders, and grant reporting, ensuring full cost recovery principles are applied

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
  • Previous experience in a finance, credit control, or customs/logistics environment is desirable.
  • Familiarity with compliance processes or regulatory documentation is advantageous
