STEM Recruitment Solutions are delighted to be recruiting for a Credit Controller on behalf of our Edinburgh-based client.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy finance team where you'll play a key role in managing customer accounts, reducing aged debt and supporting healthy cash flow. We're looking for someone with strong communication skills, a proactive approach and previous credit control experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage customer accounts, ensuring payments are collected on time.
• Chase outstanding invoices and resolve payment queries.
• Assess customer creditworthiness and set appropriate credit limits.
• Negotiate payment plans and resolve billing disputes.
• Maintain accurate customer records and credit files.
• Monitor aged debt and minimise credit risk.
• Work closely with finance, sales and customer service teams to resolve account issues.

About You

• Previous experience in a Credit Control role.
• Strong understanding of UK credit control processes and best practice.
• Experience using ERP or finance systems.
• Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and customer service skills.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Manufacturing experience is advantageous but not essential.
