We are hiring for our client a well-established SME in the Greater Belfast area who are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their senior leadership team.

This Financial Controller job is a key appointment for the business reporting directly to the Managing Director and taking ownership of the finance function. The successful Financial Controller will play a hands-on role across financial reporting controls cashflow budgeting forecasting and commercial decision support.

This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working closely with business owners influencing decision-making and adding real value within an SME environment.

The Role:
Lead and manage the finance function across the business
Prepare monthly management accounts financial reports and board-level information
Manage budgeting forecasting and cashflow planning
Review and improve financial controls processes and reporting systems
Provide commercial insight to support business performance and strategic decisions
Work closely with the MD and senior management team on financial planning
Oversee compliance VAT payroll and statutory reporting requirements
Manage relationships with external accountants banks auditors and key stakeholders
Support operational teams with financial analysis and performance reporting

The Person:
Qualified Accountant ideally ACA ACCA CIMA or equivalent
Strong experience in a Financial Controller Finance Manager or senior finance role
Previous experience within an SME environment would be highly beneficial
Commercially minded with the ability to support strategic decision-making
Strong technical accounting reporting and controls experience
Confident communicator who can work closely with senior leadership
Hands-on proactive and comfortable working in a broad finance role
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail

The Rewards:
60000 - 70000 salary
