Associate Director of Finance
Salary: £94,356 - £108,814 per annum
- band 8d
Location: Devon - hybrid working
Contract: Fixed term
Duration: 6-9 months
Candidates should be fully qualified accountants with extensive senior leadership finance experience in the NHS
Overview of the Associate Director of Finance roleSellick Partnership is delighted to be supporting an NHS Trust in the South West, to appoint an Associate Director of Finance for a 6-9 month contract.
The Associate Director of Finance is responsible for leading on the Trust's financial systems and reporting, as well as financial planning, improvement and contracting functions.
Key responsibilities of the Associate Director of Finance:- Responsible for the co-ordination, completion and development of short, medium and long-term financial models and plans for the Trust, ensuring that these follow the expectations set out by the Trust Board, the Integrated Care System and NHS England
- Deliver effective statutory reporting systems including unqualified Annual Accounts
- Deliver monthly financial performance reports and dashboards to the Trust Board and the Finance, Investment and Infrastructure (FIIC), as well as a wider monthly financial performance pack to the Chief Finance Officer
- Lead on the Trust's budget setting and forecasting arrangements
- Responsible for leading the finance department in its strategy and function to identify, develop, implement and monitor financial improvement plans, and ensure optimal efficiency and productivity in its services
- Fully qualified accountant
- Extensive senior leadership experience in NHS finance
- Experience of working for NHS provider organisations
- Expertise in Financial Reporting, Financial Planning, Finance Systems and Financial Recovery
- Strong leadership/management skills
