Are you an experienced Financial Adviser looking for the freedom to grow your client base without having to manage every administrative and technical aspect yourself?
Ortus PSR is working with a progressive, planning-led wealth management firm seeking an Independent Financial Adviser to join its growing Manchester operation.
This opportunity is available on either an employed or self-employed basis and would suit an adviser who combines high-quality financial planning with the commercial drive to develop new client relationships.
You will receive comprehensive support from the firm’s in-house paraplanning, administration, investment and marketing teams, allowing you to concentrate on advising clients, building relationships and growing your practice.
The opportunityYou will provide holistic financial planning advice to individuals, professionals, entrepreneurs and business owners, helping them make informed decisions across investments, pensions, retirement and wider financial planning.
Alongside managing long-term client relationships, you will be expected to develop new business through referrals, professional connections, networking and the firm’s lead-generation initiatives.
This is not a role where an adviser is simply handed a static client bank. It is an opportunity for an established, commercially minded planner who wants to build something of genuine long-term value with the infrastructure and reputation of an established firm behind them.

Conduct detailed client reviews and identify appropriate planning opportunities.
Build and maintain trusted, long-term client relationships.

Develop relationships with accountants, solicitors and other professional introducers.

Maintain accurate records and uphold the firm’s compliance, regulatory and client-service standards.
You should be:
Qualified to at least Level 4 Diploma standard in regulated financial planning, or an FCA-recognised equivalent.
An experienced and competent Financial Adviser with a strong record of delivering suitable, client-focused advice.
Able to demonstrate experience of attracting, converting and retaining clients.
Commercially driven without compromising client outcomes.
Confident developing relationships with professionals, entrepreneurs, business owners and private clients.
An articulate and credible communicator, both in person and virtually.
Comfortable using modern financial-planning technology and digital communication tools.
Proactive, organised and capable of managing your own pipeline and client relationships.
An existing client following or established network of professional introducers would be advantageous, although the strength of your business-development track record will also be considered.
