Junior Emissions​/Carbon Broker

Location: West End, London (office-based)

Working Hours: Typical hours are 07:30-17:30 aligned to European market hours. Occasional earlier starts or later finishes may be required during high-volatility periods or key market events.

Our client is an independently owned energy brokerage with an established presence in European gas, power and emissions markets. The firm brokers via both voice and electronic channels for a client base that includes energy producers, utilities, trading houses, financial institutions and corporate end-users. We're seeking an experienced Junior Emissions/Carbon Broker to join our growing carbon trading desk. You'll facilitate transactions across voluntary carbon credits, compliance offsets, and allowances, building relationships with traders, corporates, and fund managers navigating the carbon transition.

• Source and execute emissions trading opportunities across compliance (EU ETS, UK ETS) and voluntary carbon markets
• Build and manage a portfolio of institutional and corporate clients
• Price carbon products competitively and manage deal flow through origination to settlement
• Provide market insight and product education to clients
• Navigate regulatory frameworks (MRV, additionality standards, ESG disclosure)
• Support due diligence and documentation for carbon credit verification

• 3+ years in carbon trading, environmental commodities
• Deep understanding of carbon markets (compliance schemes, offset standards, emerging regulations)
• Strong numeracy and ability to model carbon economics
• Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships
• Comfortable with ambiguity - carbon markets are evolving rapidly
