Are you an experienced Finance Assistant, Purchase Ledger Clerk or Accounts Payable professional looking for a varied finance role within a supportive and established business?
We are recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join a busy finance team based in Kidderminster. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys purchase ledger responsibilities, supplier management, reconciliations and financial administration within a stable working environment.

The RoleAs Finance Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day activities of the finance department, ensuring financial transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing high volumes of supplier invoices and matching against purchase orders
- Maintaining the purchase ledger and resolving invoice queries
- Reconciling supplier statements and investigating discrepancies
- Preparing and processing weekly and monthly payment runs, including BACS and international payments
- Completing bank reconciliations
- Processing employee expenses and company credit card claims
- Managing timesheet reporting and following up on missing information
- Supporting month-end and year-end processes
- Assisting with audits, accruals and journals
- Providing general administrative support to the wider finance team
- Previous experience within a Finance Assistant, Purchase Ledger, Accounts Payable or similar finance position
- A good understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers and colleagues
- The ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
- A proactive and reliable approach to work
- AAT qualification or studying towards AAT
- Experience using ERP or finance systems
- Experience working with multiple currencies
