• Minimum SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing or equivalent industry experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience running a column, or demonstrate why you should be considered
• Local client base is a benefit but not essential
• Up‑to‑date skills and techniques
• High‑level skill set across all cutting sectors, passionate about hair cutting and styling
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Organised, punctual and professional; client‑focused
• Open‑mind to further training in the Lush Hair Lab way
• Desirable: educational experience in your specialist field to the team

• Deliver the full Lush Hair Lab client journey: consultation, product choices, washing, cutting and styling
• Build rapport, ask questions, share knowledge and collaborate to create each client’s true hair identity
• Educate clients on how to maintain their style at home
• Maintain a supportive team environment through open communication
• Uphold personal and workspace presentation, cleanliness, and hygiene standards
• Assist retail sales; provide 5
  * consultations with clients in the shop floor area when not with clients
• Support shop events and promote new hair care product or service launches
• Use specialist skills to support the Lush PR team in promoting the Lush Hair Lab
• Show a can‑do attitude and attention to detail
• Share Lush’s buying stories, ethics and product knowledge throughout the customer journey
• Confident and decisive to ensure the client feels safe in expert hands
• Motivated, driven and open‑mind to our new approach to hairdressing

What you’ll get

Guaranteed base salary of £26,208 per year (five‑day work week). Competitive 15% commission on services, paid monthly. Bonus based on overall performance of the salon and product sales targets.
