Train with an award winning salon offering 35 years experience developing hairdressers. You'll gain hands on experience alongside a friendly, supportive employed team. Enjoy free hair services, products at cost, staff socials, hair events & the opportunity for a permanent salon position on completion of your apprenticeship.
About the EmployerEstablished for over 30 years. High end salon over 2 floors with air conditioning. Uses high end Davines products and colour range as well as hair extensions. Employs over 10 people with a range of ages and experience.
What You'll Do- Greeting and welcoming clients
- Shampoo and conditioning hair
- Preparing clients for stylists
- Assisting stylists with colouring, foiling, treatments, cutting and blow drying
- Weighing and mixing colours
- Keeping salon clean, tidy and sanitised
- Making refreshments for clients
- Booking appointments and answering the telephone
- Learning consultation skills by observing experienced stylists
- Developing blow drying, perming, cutting, and colouring techniques
- Assisting with salon opening and closing duties
- Restocking retail products and towels
- Supporting the team to ensure the salon runs smoothy
- Attending weekly college training and completing apprenticeship coursework
- Finding suitable models for practice and assessments
- Building confidence and practical skills towards becoming a qualified stylist
- The salon employs you as a hairdresser and you work your way up through job promotions
- NVQ Level 3 is an option
- We have many external training days including a fully paid for world wide hair tour, so far the locations have been Berlin and Valencia

Working ArrangementsWorking Week: The salon is open Tuesday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm or 11am to 8pm. Saturday hours are 8am to 4.30pm.
College is usually Monday or Tuesday. If it is Monday then you will get a day off in the week.
