Main duties of the jobThe post holder is required to provide holistic midwifery care to women/birthing people and babies in the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods. The midwifery care is provided in hospital, birth centre, day assessment unit, maternity triage and transitional care unit settings.
We offer opportunities for both experienced and newly qualified midwives across all maternity settings, with a fantastic package for newly qualified midwives and a dedicated preceptorship lead who supports you throughout.
Job responsibilitiesAll posts will include shift working (including night duty) and on‑call duty. The successful applicant will receive an orientation programme and assured appropriate support.

Person specification Qualifications B6- Registered Midwife
- Practising Midwife
- Maintained an up‑to‑date professional portfolio
- Training in management of obstetric emergencies
- Valid driving licence
- To have obtained or be studying to degree level (or diploma with equivalent experience)
- Registered Midwife
- Current NMC registration
- To have obtained or be studying to degree level (or diploma with equivalent experience)
- Recent experience in all aspects of midwifery practice
- Competencies relevant to sphere of practice
- Experience with in UK maternity services
- Experience with in UK maternity services
- Midwifery experience gained through training
- Teaching/mentoring qualification
- Evidence of further study and development of professional and academic skills
- Experience of mentoring students
- Ability to use flexible, innovative approaches to practice tailored to individual needs of clients
