Job Summary

Working with CYP emotional needs across all elements of the iTHRIVE model. This diverse and exciting role delivers a range of interventions to CYP (children and young people) at various stages of their emotional recovery and safety needs. Working as part of a multi‑disciplinary community team you will work on a rotational basis across the community day & educational provisions as well as the urgent Need Haven
365 Service, including working across days, evenings, weekends & bank holidays.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

  • Haven (Evening service) – Lead support and be responsible for providing direct urgent emotional support for CYP presenting significant critical safety needs and behaviours that challenge. Conduct rapid assessment of referred CYP against service inclusion/exclusion criteria, collaborate with Police, Ambulance, ED and CAMHS, coordinate ongoing safety, implement mood regulation interventions, conduct risk assessments, develop safety plans, de‑escalate challenging behaviours, coordinate safeguarding actions, liaise with caregivers and referral partners, develop follow‑up care plans, offer guidance to families, maintain accurate records, participate in training, support Service Lead in managing the service and leading shifts, manage a small team of Emotional Well‑Being Practitioners, support recruitment and provide on‑call support.
  • Hubs (Day services) – Deliver emotional support to CYP in community settings including education settings, community centres and Be U therapeutic spaces. Support CYP presenting with care needs within the Getting Advice / Getting Help elements of the iTHRIVE model. Develop individualised care plans, provide evidence‑based therapeutic interventions (individual and group), engage with children in schools and community centres, work closely with families to offer guidance, provide training and resources to parents and caregivers, collaborate with schools, healthcare providers and social services, advocate for mental health needs, respond to safeguarding concerns, maintain accurate records, stay current with developments, participate in supervision, and engage with local communities to raise awareness.
