About the roleWe are looking for a positive, like‑minded individual to support a young female client with a neurological condition. The role involves 24/7 care (both day and night) in a village on the outskirts of Welwyn Garden City.
Responsibilities include:
- Day‑to‑day living tasks
- Catheter and personal care support
- Attending her workplace in London twice a week
- Social activities and companionship, such as cooking, reading, theatre, and holiday trips
- Bowel management and other care for a wheelchair user with paralysis from the waist down
Experience in the care sector is desired, but a genuine interest and passion for supporting people with disabilities is essential. We offer extensive training, including the Care Certificate and complex care courses.
What you will need- Be physically fit, calm, patient, friendly, and caring
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently
- Personable with a proactive attitude to work
- Experience with spinal injury clients or similar is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English
- Maintain a clean and tidy appearance and environment
- Full UK driving licence (manual mobility car)
We offer both 0‑hour contracts and full‑time guaranteed hours of up to 40 hrs per week. Working hours are between 7 am‑7 pm, with 12‑hour shifts that include weekends.
