Overview

Reaside is a male medium secure service providing care for service users with challenging behaviours and a range of clinical presentations.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the Occupational Therapy team to deliver one‑to‑one and group interventions to promote independence and improve emotional wellbeing.
  • Support activities in a well‑equipped environment including the gym, kitchen, education suite, art room, gardens, woodwork shop, library and group rooms.
  • Collaborate with the forensic community OT team and partner agencies to support transitions out into the community.
  • Receive regular management supervision and clinical supervision from the Occupational Therapist.
Support & Development

Training and development will be provided in line with discussed development reviews.

Qualifications
  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification.
  • A good understanding of the role of Occupational Therapy and provision of activities within a mental health setting.
Candidate Profile
  • Enthusiastic and self‑motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant.
  • Motivated, confident and able to work within a recovery and person‑centred model.
