Band 4 Medical Secretary - Small Heath

To provide a comprehensive secretarial service to the Consultant and members of the medical team within ICCR, assisting them in achieving their objectives and to liaise with all relevant and appropriate services.
Main duties of the jobThe seconded post holder will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of administrative and secretarial duties, which include the receipt of all correspondence, booking of patient appointments, typing up of clinical letters from audio or text, and reporting all other correspondence as required by the medical team.
To act as a focal point of contact and be responsible for the dissemination of information, messages and enquiries for the medical team, liaising with multidisciplinary team members, other health professionals and staff within the Trust, GPs, Social Workers, Service Users, Carers and any other appropriate external agencies.

Person Specification Qualifications- NVQ level 3 business admin
- RSA typing or equivalent
- Amspar
- medical terminology
- significant use of Microsoft Office applications
- Experience of working in an NHS setting
- Experience of working with people with mental health issues
- Experience of working with people from different settings
