Development Office - Specialist Children’s Services

RoleThe Directorate provides clinical services for children and young people who have severe, enduring and complex mental health, disability and neurodevelopmental profiles.

Clinical Governance
- In conjunction with Directorate Lead for digital and Service Manager deliver on developing and rolling out SharePoint across SCS to ensure effective provision and access to consistent information.
- To support the clinical governance agenda by developing landing pages that ensure all relevant clinical information is available across teams.
Project Management
- To provide project management support for initiatives identified by the Directorate and General Manager by following approved project management techniques.
Engagement
- Support development of resources that can be made available for users of our services.
- To train trainers in SharePoint and other systems to ensure ability to maintain SharePoint and other systems beyond length of project time.
Training
- In conjunction with Service Managers train and co‑ordinate the implementation of training activities to support best practice across the Directorate.
Service Improvement
- To develop, support and maintain relationships with colleagues across all teams and support service developments across SCS.
- In conjunction with Directorate Digital Lead develop additional projects to meet the digital transformation across SCS. Communication.
- Act as representative for the Directorate by attending relevant training and meetings and disseminating appropriate information to relevant multi-disciplinary teams.
- Establish and maintain new and innovative ways of communication and digital innovation.
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal and organisational skills are essential.
- Sound knowledge of digital packages.
- Self‑starter with enthusiasm and ability to meet strict timescales.
- Technical skills – Database and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of health services.
- Self‑motivator.
- Good networking skills.
- Ability to take notes of meetings.
- Postholder should be able to demonstrate work with digital packages and ability to develop these to apply in new contexts. Postholder will have a high level of interpersonal skills with an interest in children’s services. Postholder will be flexible and able to operate to a high standard.
- Relevant NHS experience.
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal and organisational skills are essential.
