Job Overview

Senior Care Assistant at Birchmere Mews Care Home in Solihull. Provide high standards personal care, supporting residents, visitors and staff in a caring, innovative, inclusive environment. Key focus on person‑centred care planning, medication support and staff supervision.

• Monitor the wellbeing of each resident and ensure any changes affecting care and care plans are documented.
• Implement, monitor and undertake monthly evaluations as part of the person‑centred care planning process.
• Support residents with medication requirements.
• Undertake staff supervisions and assist with staff development where required.
• Act as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives, visitors and health and social care professionals, ensuring reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints are escalated.

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in care for care homes.
• Minimum 2 years experience working in a similar care environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Positive attitude towards supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
• Responsive and flexible, able to cover a range of responsibilities.

• DBS Disclosure check – cost covered by Avery Healthcare.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
