Our client, a leading specialist provider, is seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join their team in Carmarthenshire. • Assist in the efficient and effective daily running of the home, taking responsibility for overall management in the absence of the Home Manager.
• Help devise staff rotas to ensure adequate cover and smooth operation of the home.
• Support the development and management of the staff team through appraisals, supervisions, and return-to-work interviews.
• Chair staff meetings when the Home Manager is unavailable.
• Act as on-call support, providing guidance and making safe, effective decisions for residents and staff.
• Ensure the safety, dignity, and rights of residents are upheld at all times.
• Support residents in engaging with the wider community, including social events, sports, and outings.

• Experience at a senior level within a Residential Social Care setting.
• At least Level 3 QCF in Care or equivalent.
• Flexibility to work a 37.5-hour week, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in nights on a rota basis.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Commitment to promoting independence and personal development for residents.
• An enhanced DBS check is required for this position.
