Salary: £12.90 per hour plus excellent benefits

Employment type: Permanent, full and part time hours available

Shift pattern: 5 days out of 7, various shift patterns with alternate weekends

Role purpose You’ll help us make health happen by maintaining high cleaning standards in residents’ care home facilities, public areas and individual properties.

Key information You will receive a comprehensive induction, followed by ongoing training and development opportunities.

• Maintain cleaning standards in residents’ care home facilities, public areas and individual properties.
• Operate vacuum cleaners, floor polishers and carpet shampooers.
• Empty bins regularly.
• Sweep, scrub, wax and polish floors.
• Clean carpets and upholstery; wash woodwork, windows, door panels and sills.
• Wash, dry and iron residents’ clothing, bedding and communal laundry, including for on-site residents.
• Report safety hazards to management and ensure Health and Safety standards and COSHH compliance at all times.

• Experience in a housekeeping or domestic cleaning role.
• Basic understanding of infection control, COSHH and compliance standards.
• Friendly and approachable; able to build professional relationships with colleagues, residents and families.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in work; safe working practices.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team across functions and services.
• DBS check required as part of recruitment;
  Bupa will cover the cost (£40).
