An exciting role has arisen for an enthusiastic and skilled paediatric physiotherapist to join our existing specialist therapy team at Hobbs Rehabilitation, providing clinic and community based physiotherapy.

We are looking for an enthusiastic paediatric physiotherapist with excellent clinical and communication skills. This role will be predominantly based in our Winchester clinic, working with paediatric outpatients alongside some community visits. You will be working with children and young people with neurological, neuromuscular and developmental conditions, although a wider background in paediatrics or a specialist interest is welcome. Within clinic you will have the opportunity to use the available neurotechnology to enhance your treatment sessions and the rehabilitation programmes for your clients.

Training and support is available for those new to this area of practice.

There will also be the opportunity to deliver aquatic therapy (hydrotherapy).

Main duties of the job

Autonomous physiotherapy practitioner demonstrating a high standard of clinical skills and knowledge, including assessment, postural management, specialist handling techniques and exercises

Create and provide one-to-one and group physiotherapy intervention to patients with acquired physical and learning impairments, using a comprehensive knowledge of evidence-informed practice and treatment options.

Practice safely within the legal and ethical boundaries of the profession.

Formulate patient-centred goals in conjunction with MDT, and evaluate patients progress using published outcome measures.

Write high quality clinical notes and reports and to provide recommendations in clinical provision, such as for Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and case managed clients.

Work within a multi-disciplinary team, communicating with a wide range of clients, families, educational and health professionals.

Attend and contribute to multi professional and family meetings, such as MDT and annual reviews, both face-to-face and online.

As part of the Hobbs paediatric service, explore and consider the latest technological advances and interventions and how these may be applicable. There will be the opportunity to undertake or be involved in research & clinical trials

Actively participate in Hobbs internal & external training / education programs, both for the advancement of your own CPD and that of others

Support the wider Hobbs team and provide physiotherapy cover at other sites if required.
