Location: Hillington
Location: Tapping House, Hillington, PE31 6BH
Volunteer Responsibilities- Visit patients in their homes to offer companionship and emotional support.
- Provide a listening ear and engage in meaningful conversation.
- Do some light, non-clinical tasks, like making a cup of tea, reading, or just sitting with them.
- Help reduce feelings of loneliness and social isolation.
- Offer respite support for family members and carers.
- Encourage wellbeing through gentle activities suited to the patient's interests and abilities.
- Maintain appropriate boundaries and respect confidentiality at all times.
- Communicate any concerns or changes in a patient's wellbeing to the hospice team.
This role is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.
