Overview
Shaw healthcare is recruiting a Deputy Manager for Brynhyfryd Home in Love Ln, Builth Wells to deliver a quality of care and support to our service users in line with our care principles of 'wellness, happiness, and kindness'. You will work together with your colleagues to ensure that the physical, social, psychological and emotional needs of our service users are met.
Brynhyfryd is a 42 bedded residential care home providing care for older people including people with dementia.

Salary: £18.17 per hour
Hours:
37.5 hour contract (25.5 hours deputy manager, 12 hours day team leader)

- Good working knowledge of CIW/CQC standards and the Health and Social Care Act 2008
- Developing and implementing evidence‑based individualised care packages, therapeutic interventions, and activity programmes
- Leading and supervising the support and nursing teams to deliver the highest standards of person‑centred care using clinical governance and personal development
- Managing sickness, staff training and development, coaching and mentoring
- Effectively communicating with team members, service users, families and colleagues
- Understanding and supporting the health and social care needs of service users, including mobility or continence needs, and using appropriate aids and equipment
- Providing appropriate levels of care and support to meet personal hygiene needs (washing, dressing, bathing, toileting)
- Ensuring health and safety awareness to protect service users and colleagues
- Assisting service users to live a fuller life through person‑centred care plans
- QCF Level 3 or above
- Previous experience as a Deputy Manager
- Experience supporting the elderly
- Strong knowledge of person‑centred care and working closely with residents to assess their needs and deliver care plans
