About The Opportunity

As a Trainee Dispenser in one of our stores, you will be a key member of our pharmacy team, supporting the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services.

Working within the healthcare department while completing your NVQ2 Dispenser training, you will build relationships with patients by listening and understanding their needs. From greeting customers, dispensing prescriptions, and ensuring the safe sale of medicines to providing advice using your healthcare knowledge, you’ll help patients make informed decisions about their health and wellness.

This role is based in-store in the UK. Remote applicants will not be considered, and applications from candidates outside the UK will only be progressed if they can confirm relevant UK qualifications and right to work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme training.
  • Dispense prescriptions while ensuring the safe supply of medicines (e.g., ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing and collection of prescriptions).
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in the store to manage and deliver pharmacy services.
  • Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the pharmacist as appropriate.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to support safe and legal dispensing.
  • Stay up to date with new innovations in the store and comply with operational processes.
  • Support patients to manage prescriptions, ensuring reliable repeats and medication adherence.

You will have the opportunity to use evolving technologies, develop traditional dispensing processes, and spend more time with patients.

You will receive regular updates and training to develop your healthcare knowledge, and career development options include training as a Pharmacy Technician or progressing to the store leadership team.

What You’ll Need To Have
  • Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
  • Current and valid UK right to work. The role is not eligible for Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship.
It would be great if you also have
