Thursday and Sunday - 21:30 - 08:30

Your Role:
Supporting Independence | Enriching Lives

We are recruiting experienced Healthcare Assistants to join our Children’s Community Care team, supporting a young boy who lives with his family at home in Quintrell Downs. A female carer is preferred but not essential. We are looking for candidates with previous care experience who are confident working independently, reliable and flexible, with a full driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred.

Your responsibilities:

    Assisting with daily routines to promote comfort and wellbeing.

    Encouraging clients to live fulfilled lives with autonomy.
  • Community access
    :
    Helping clients engage in their local community.
  • Clinical tasks
    :
    Airway management, medication management, moving and handling, secretion management, gastrostomy management, basic overnight observations, epilepsy care, oxygen therapy (full training provided).

Shadowing will be completed with the NOK and staff member. Nurse led package will be signed off when appropriate.

What we’re looking for:
  • At least 6 months of paid professional care experience (or personal care experience in the UK).
  • Confidence supporting individuals with limited mobility (moving and handling).
  • Experience in carrying out clinical tasks is an advantage, however training will be provided.
  • Experience in paediatrics is preferred but not essential.
  • A willingness to complete training and competencies.
  • The right to work in the UK.
  • Registration with SSSC (applicants in Scotland) or SCW (applicants in Wales).
  • Ability to understand both verbal and written English to follow care plans and communicate effectively.
