Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Medical Laboratory Assistant to join a busy laboratory in Bath. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with laboratory, healthcare, pathology, or medical testing experience to support essential diagnostic services and contribute to delivering high-quality patient care.

Working as a Medical Laboratory Assistant, Laboratory Assistant, Pathology Assistant, Biomedical Support Assistant, or Laboratory Support Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring patient specimens are processed accurately while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and laboratory practice.

• Process, receive, and handle patient specimens accurately and efficiently.
• Perform basic laboratory testing and record results accurately.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with procedures.
• Complete accurate data entry and maintain laboratory records.
• Follow laboratory quality standards, health and safety procedures, and infection control protocols.
• Monitor and manage laboratory stock levels and supplies.
• Work closely with laboratory staff and healthcare professionals to support daily operations.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good IT skills and experience maintaining accurate records.
• Knowledge of laboratory health and safety procedures.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
• Flexible approach to working hours.

• Band 3-4 pay.
• Monday to Friday working pattern.
• 12pm-8pm shifts.
