Wellbeing and Activities Assistant

Shift Details: 09.30 AM - 18.00 PM

As a Wellbeing and Activities Assistant, you will support the Wellbeing Coordinator in providing a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate residents' physical, cognitive, and social well‑being at Greenholme House Care Home, Burley‑in‑Wharfedale. You will help maintain a safe living environment, report changes in residents' conditions, assist with ordering and preparing activity supplies, and foster community connections to promote intergenerational activity.

• Maintain a safe living and working environment.
• Report any changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to the Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator, Home Manager, and the care staff.
• Support ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities as directed.
• Help establish links with the local community (e.g., schools, spiritual groups, museums/libraries) to encourage access to the wider community and promote intergenerational activity.

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Understanding of the role interaction plays in the general well‑being of people.
• Positive attitude toward older people and a commitment to providing stimulating, quality activities and social events.
• Previously worked with older people in a residential nursing/​dementia setting.
