An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated NMC Registered Midwife to join the Badenoch & Strathspey Community Midwifery Team
, NHS Highland. The team is based in Aviemore
, within the Cairngorm National Park
, and provides community midwifery care across the Badenoch & Strathspey area, including clinics in Aviemore, Kingussie and Grantownon Spey
. The team provides caseload care for approximately 115 women per year
, delivering high-quality, womancentred care within both clinic and home settings.

• Run satellite clinics and provide antenatal and postnatal care in the community.
• Work flexibly across other Inner Moray Firth community midwifery teams, where required.
• Participate in on‑call duties for Home Birth and Domino services.

• A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Good organisational and time‑management skills.
• A commitment to providing safe, high‑quality, womancentred care.

Previous community midwifery experience is desirable but not essential.

• Band 6 midwife.
• Full, current UK driving licence.
• Use of own car.
• Current NMC registration.

The service operates on a 7‑day basis and includes an on‑call commitment for Home Birth and Domino services within the Inner Moray Firth community midwifery teams.
