Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and trustworthy person to assist with the care of a 15‑year‑old son in Wakefield.
Responsibilities- Assist with toilet training and nappy changing.
- Help with dressing or undressing.
- Supervise at all times and encourage outdoor play.
- Encourage access to local parks and the community using the son’s wheelchair for outings.
- Prepare snacks and assist with domestic duties as needed.
Shift pattern: 12:00PM – 6:00PM on Saturdays, with flexibility to cover Sundays if required. The role is permanent.
Requirements- Full UK driving licence.
- Own personal car preferred; otherwise discussed at interview.
- Experience in meal preparation, personal care, domestic care, social and leisure activities.
- Ability to support independence, training and understanding of challenging behaviour.
- Knowledge of hand hygiene and autism/Asperger’s support.
Two dogs live in the house, so applicants with pet allergies cannot apply. References will be requested.
