Walk‑in Service – Advance Clinical PractitionerBand 7: £52,845 - £61,466 per annum
Distant Island Allowance: £1,461 per annum

Location: Ospadal Uibhist agus Bharraigh (OUAB), Benbecula, Western Isles
The pilot walk‑in service provides same‑day urgent care for temporary residents and visitors across the Western Isles, relieving pressure on local GP practices and improving patient access. The service will be located at OUAB Benbecula with onsite diagnostic facilities and will operate weekdays from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, offering telephone, Video (Near Me) and face‑to‑face appointments. From November 2026 the service will expand to serve residents of North Uist, Benbecula and South Uist as an alternative to attending their own GP practice.
Responsibilities- The post holder will be responsible for the clinical assessment and management of same‑day urgent care presentations, including institution of an appropriate treatment plan and onward referral to other services as appropriate.
- Successful applicant must register with the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG).
- Relocation expenses are not covered.
