St John's College is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Care Manager to support the leadership of our residential provision, helping autistic young adults with learning disabilities to thrive, develop independence and achieve positive outcomes.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a passionate and supportive team within Ambitious about Autism, where you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred residential care and supporting the continued development of our services.
About the RoleAs Deputy Care Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Care Manager to support the effective day‑to‑day management of our residential provision. You will provide leadership and guidance to residential teams, ensuring learners receive safe, nurturing and person‑centred care in line with organisational values, safeguarding requirements and regulatory standards.
You will support staff development, contribute to quality assurance processes and help drive continuous improvement across the service. Working collaboratively with families, colleagues and multi‑disciplinary professionals, you will play an important role in ensuring learners receive consistent support that promotes independence, wellbeing and positive outcomes.
About YouWe are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working within a residential care environment.
- Has experience supporting autistic young adults with learning disabilities.
- Has experience leading, supervising or supporting care teams.
- Has knowledge and understanding of safeguarding, person‑centred care and regulatory requirements.
- Can build positive relationships with learners, families, colleagues and external professionals.
- Is organised, resilient and passionate about delivering high‑quality care.
- Holds a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) or is working towards this.
- Is committed to working towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care.
