Job Summary
Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist looking to take the next step in your career and be part of meaningful change? Join the team at Farmfield Hospital as a Lead Occupational Therapist. You will work with adult men (18+) who may have a forensic background and enduring mental health illnesses such as personality disorder, substance misuse issues and challenging behaviours.
Your role will involve managing a complex caseload and implementing evidence‑based, people‑focused interventions to support service users in developing self‑maintenance, productivity and leisure skills.
Key Responsibilities- Participate fully with the multidisciplinary team and encourage service users to be fully engaged in their care pathway.
- Manage and coordinate the implementation of individual treatment plans, ensuring interventions are delivered through effective application and communication.
- Maintain accurate and timely records detailing each patient's rehabilitation and progress.
- Effectively manage junior staff.
- Support clinical team working, including direct interventions and delivery of staff training programmes.
- Receive and respond promptly to referrals, undertake patient assessments, prioritise needs and plan appropriate interventions individually or in groups.
- Develop living skills, rehabilitation, and educational opportunities/therapies.
- Qualified and registered as an Occupational Therapist.
- At least 3 years post‑qualifying experience.
- Experience in assessing people with a variety of psychometric and risk assessment tools.
- Ability to work therapeutically, engaging people in developing insight and coping skills to manage complex needs.
- Experience in supervising and managing junior members of the team.
- A full and clean UK driving licence.
- All candidates will be subject to a DBS disclosure.
- Annual base salary of £54,315.
