We are seeking to recruit a permanent Psychological Therapies Team Lead within APTS, NHS Forth Valley’s Psychological Services. The service currently employs Nurse Psychotherapists, Psychological Therapists, Counsellors, Clinical Psychologists, Counselling Psychologists and Clinical Associates in Applied Psychology.
Responsibilities- Provide leadership and delegated line management to various psychological therapists.
- Deliver psychological assessment and intervention to adults with a wide range of presenting problems.
- Ensure members of the team are compliant with the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
- Maintain strong links with professional structures within the wider service.
- Participate in the rolling programme of CPD and support staff wellbeing initiatives.
- Mental Health Qualification such as RMN, MHO or AHP.
- Training in at least two high‑intensity, evidence‑based psychological interventions (e.g. CBT, TF-CBT, EMDR).
- Experience of leadership is desirable.
- Experience working with people who have experienced trauma.
- Experience of group work is beneficial.
As from 1/4/26, the full‑time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata, with a corresponding increase in the hourly rate to maintain pay levels.
