Band 6 Occupational Therapist – Addiction & Mental Health Rehabilitation (Part-Time)

The Role

Cpl UK Healthcare are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist
, supporting adults experiencing drug and alcohol addiction alongside mental health needs
.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a specialist residential rehabilitation service, providing structured, recovery-focused support to individuals working towards improved independence, wellbeing, and long-term recovery.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, using occupational therapy interventions to help service users develop meaningful routines, coping strategies, life skills, and engagement in positive activities.

Responsibilities
  • Manage an occupational therapy caseload within a residential addiction rehabilitation setting
  • Complete occupational and functional assessments
  • Develop and deliver person-centred recovery plans
  • Support individuals with substance misuse, mental health needs, and complex life challenges
  • Facilitate therapeutic activities and interventions
  • Promote independent living skills, confidence, and community reintegration
  • Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team
  • Contribute to care planning, reviews, and clinical documentation
  • Support service users in developing meaningful occupational goals
Requirements
  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience with in mental health, addiction, or rehabilitation services is desirable
  • Knowledge of recovery-focused occupational therapy approaches
  • Strong communication, assessment, and clinical reasoning skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
