Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Ambulance Care Assistants for our secure transport services. As an Ambulance Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care and support during their transportation. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of individuals who rely on our services, specifically those detained under the Mental Health Act.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely transport patients to and from medical appointments, clinics, and healthcare facilities.
  • Assist patients with boarding and disembarking from vehicles, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Provide attentive and compassionate care to patients throughout the transportation process.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines for the secure transportation of patients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the ambulance vehicle.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information and trip details.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
  • Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
  • Compassionate and caring attitude toward patients.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekdays, weekends & nights.
  • Previous experience in mental health specific roles or patient care is a plus but not essential as full training will be given.
