You will build meaningful relationships and offer thoughtful, responsive care, empowering individuals to navigate life with confidence and independence.
The shift pattern for this role is four waking nights per week, from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. including alternate weekends. While a driving licence is not required, you must be able to travel reliably to the workplace for your scheduled shifts.
How will I make a difference? As a support worker you'll be there to lend a helping hand in a way that puts the person's needs first, this means:
- You will adapt your support to fit what each person needs and wants daily.
- You will encourage people to make their own choices, big and small.
- You will help people to do things themselves to be as independent as possible.
- You will support people to build confidence and life skills.
- You will support people to be a part of their community, joining local clubs and connecting with friends and family.
- You will be understanding, allowing people to take their time and do things at their own pace.
