Activities Facilitator, TACUN (9767)
28 hours per week, permanent post
£22,882 – £23,101 per annum ( inclusive of £2,268 Distant Islands Allowance )
Comhairle nan Eilean Siar is seeking an enthusiastic and caring individual to join our Care Homes as Activities Facilitators.
The post involves planning, preparing and delivering a range of meaningful activities and outings for older adults, including individuals living with dementia. Working closely with residents, relatives and care home staff, you will help develop activity programmes that promote wellbeing, maintain independence and encourage social interaction and engagement.
Experience of working within a Care Setting is essential along with the ability to work with behaviours that challenge services. You should be organised, able to plan and schedule activities, share knowledge with others and maintain confidentiality at all times. The postholder will need to be flexible and be able to work evenings and weekends.
This position is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with adults.
Interviews will be conducted in person, providing candidates with the chance to personally meet the team and experience our work environment.

Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of the grade.
