We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Band 7 Lead Pharmacy Technician to provide professional and operational leadership across the Lincolnshire cluster of secure services. This role covers HMP Lincoln, HMP Morton Hall, HMP North Sea Camp and Swinderby IRC and plays a key part in delivering safe, effective and high-quality pharmaceutical services. You will provide specialist technical expertise in medicines management, controlled drugs governance and clinical governance, working closely with senior managers, clinicians and external partners to ensure compliance with legislation, CQC standards and best practice.
- Lead the delivery of safe, legal and high-quality pharmacy services across the Lincolnshire cluster
- Provide specialist technical leadership in medicines management and controlled drugs governance
- Support and manage Senior Pharmacy Technicians and local pharmacy teams
- Develop, implement and review medicines management policies, SOPs and processes
- Deliver training and expert advice to healthcare teams and senior stakeholders
- Represent pharmacy services at local, regional and national forums
- Contribute to service development, audit and continuous quality improvement
- GPhC Registration (current)
- Level 3 Pharmacy qualification (NVQ/BTEC)
- Relevant CPD in leadership/medicines governance, Significant years of post qualification experience, Operational responsibility for pharmacy services
- Controlled Drug governance & audits
- Staff supervision/training experience
- Audit/service improvement delivery
- Ability to use Systm One & NHS systems, Demonstrated leadership & influence
- Manages competing priorities
- Professional judgement & accountability
- Resilience in secure settings
- Security Vetting
- The application includes evidence of the required years of UK residency to meet prison vetting standards
