We are looking for an enthusiastic Trainee Advanced Surgical Practitioner to join the team assisting a team of Consultants and Specialist Registrars across a range of Orthopaedic, Elective and Trauma procedures. As well as General Surgery procedures.

This position may require Trust wide working across our Trust sites including Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, Hexham General Hospital, Wansbeck General Hospital and North Tyneside General Hospital.

Please note - North Tyneside General Hospital will be the base site for this post.

This post falls within the provisions of Agenda for Change Annex 20 - Development of Professional Roles, whereby upon completion of an agreed set of competencies you may move onto the next pay band without the need for an application for a post at a higher level.

Supervision of junior members of staff, students and visitors.
To provide nursing care to a caseload of patients and to provide verbal and written handovers to nursing colleagues and the multi disciplinary team.
To provide on call cover as required to meet the needs of the service .
May be required to work on other sites across the Trust.
