personal assistant / support worker required to work on a casual basis, providing cover for holidays and sickness. The maximum hours you may be required to cover are 17.75hrs per week.

you will provide support to a lady in her own home. You will be part of a small team of personal assistants who support the employer with her personal care on a daily basis monday to sunday. Hours are flexible – (earliest start 12pm /latest finish 4pm) – to be discussed at interview.

duties

the employer lives with a mobility impairment, epilepsy and other health issues. She requires support with personal care including showering / hair washing, application of creams, continence care, dressing, medication, meal preparation & bed changing.

experience / qualifications required

experience of support work preferred as well as knowledge of epilepsy (awareness training required – this can be arranged by the employer if not already in place).

• this position is subject to a 6 month probationary period.

successful applicants will have to provide 2 references (one of which must be your current or most recent employer) and undergo a new pvg disclosure at the employers cost.
