Academy Sports Therapist, Physiotherapist or Rehabilitator

Overall purpose of the job
Coordinate and lead the match day medical provision for the foundation and youth development phases.
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Match-day medical management foundation and youth development phases (Weekends)
- Where planned and communicated, deliver rehabilitation to players in line with their plan
- Data collection – where planned and communicated, capture player heights and other data as required
- EAP walk-through (check and confirmation with opposition medical staff)
- Check kit and equipment logistics, stock and condition prior to use
- Awareness of players' medical conditions, history, RTP and modifications
- Communication post-game with medical staff regarding injuries, assessments, and next actions
- Provide post-game action plan & guidance for injured player, and specifically their parent/adult (following club and EFL guidance regarding concussion)
- Attend medical meetings and CPD
- Record all data and update medical notes on KML iP in line with the EFL Youth Development Rules and medical governance requirements
Such other duties as may be appropriate to achieve the objectives of the post and to assist the Academy Senior Physiotherapist
About The CandidateQualifications
- Full membership to the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) or The Society of Sports Therapists (SST)
- BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy, Rehabilitation
- Intermediate First Aid for Sport (ITMMiF)
Experience
Experience of working in at least 1 of the following roles:
- A medical role at a football club
- A medical at a sports club
- A medical within the NHS
Knowledge and/or experience of at least 1 of the following:
- Providing first aid for young athletes within the framework of the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP)
- Providing first aid young athletes within the NHS
- Working as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
ICT experience of FiP, excel, word and any other software as required to carry out the duties required for the job
