Aboutthe Role
As a Support Worker in Llangadog, you will be instrumental in supporting residents with day-to-day tasks and engaging them in a range of social and recreational activities. Your key responsibilities will include supporting personal development through skill-building programmes, fostering confidence, resilience, and independence, and assisting with social and leisure activities such as farm-related tasks, outings, and community participation. You will work closely with a supportive team to ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all residents.
KeyDuties
- Support residents with their daily routines, promoting independence and confidence
- Engage residents in outdoor activities, including farm work and community outings
- Assist with social, recreational, and skill development programmes tailored to individual needs
- Support residents' participation in activities like social outings, including local church visits
- Work collaboratively with team members to maintain a safe environment, adhering to safeguarding policies
- Genuine passion for supporting individuals with learning disabilities and mental health needs
- Flexibility to adapt to a variety of indoor and outdoor activities
- A proactive attitude and a positive, compassionate approach
- Ability to drive and take residents out in the service car, as the role is based in Bristol
- Previous experience in care or support work is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided
