Senior Care Assistant - Nights

Senior Care Assistant on nights at Acacia Mews Care Home, a care home run by Avery Healthcare Group. The post centres on supporting the care team to deliver personal care, monitoring residents' wellbeing and keeping care plans and records up to date. The night pattern sits within a luxury elderly care group with over 100 homes. Applicants need an NVQ 3 in care with two years' relevant experience, and must be eligible to work in the UK.

• Support the care team to deliver high standards of personal care
• Monitor residents' wellbeing and act on changes to their care needs
• Keep care plans and written records updated when needs change
• Take part in person-centred care planning, implementing it and evaluating monthly
• Support residents with their medication requirements
• Carry out staff supervisions and support staff development
• Act as key contact for residents, relatives, visitors and health and social care professionals
• Act on reasonable requests and act on reasonable requests and ... concerns or complaints
• Create a safe, caring and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff

• NVQ 3 in care or equivalent, for care homes

• Two years' experience in a similar care environment

• Effective verbal and written communication
• Positive attitude to supporting residents and staff
• Responsive and flexible across a range of responsibilities
