We are recruiting dedicated Catering Assistants / Ward Hosts & Hostesses to support NHS hospitals across South London. These roles are vital in ensuring patients receive nutritious meals and a high standard of service during their stay.

About the Role

As part of the hospital catering team, you will play an essential role in delivering meal services on wards or within catering departments. Typical duties include:

* Serving meals and refreshments to patients in line with dietary requirements

* Basic food preparation and portioning

* Maintaining cleanliness of service areas and equipment

* Recording meal choices and supporting patient mealtime experience

* Adhering to strict food safety and infection-control standards

Shifts & Locations

* Part-time or full-time hours available

* Weekday and weekend shifts

* Opportunities across multiple NHS sites in South London

Requirements

To be considered, candidates must have:

* Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate

* Basic DBS check (or eligibility to obtain one)

* Previous catering, hospitality or ward host experience is desirable but not essential

* Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care

* Reliability, professionalism, and ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
