Salary: £20‑£25 per hour (self‑employed);
Part‑time, Live‑out, Permanent. Working days: 1‑2 per week, flexible.

Perfect Household Staff Ltd is delighted to offer this role to a professional housekeeper who can work independently in a historic 18th‑century Scottish home. The principal is a gentleman who lives alone with two senior cats, enjoys a quiet lifestyle focused on writing and research, and requires reliable and proactive support to maintain the property.

• General housekeeping of an 18th‑century home – keeping all living areas, bedrooms, and bathrooms clean, tidy, and well maintained.
• Weekly deep‑cleaning tasks including dusting, hoovering, mopping, and polishing.
• Cleaning the stove/grate.
• Replenishing the log basket with firewood or smokeless fuel (winter only).
• Organising supplies near the back porch.
• Laundry management – washing, drying, folding, ironing, and wardrobe organisation.
• Handling bed linen for guest bedrooms as required when family or visitors stay.
• Occasional lighter duties on the top floor (primarily storage and light hoovering).
• Kitchen upkeep, appliance cleaning, and ensuring communal areas remain presentable.
• Proactively using initiative to identify tasks, maintain household routines, and support the smooth running of the property.

• 5+ years of private housekeeper experience.
• Two excellent checkable references.
• Conversational English.
• Full UK working permit.
• Full driving licence and own car.
