Payroll Coordinator

Portfolio Payroll is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business based in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Payroll professional to join a stable and growing organisation that truly values its people.

Reporting to the Personnel Manager you will take responsibility for the day-to-day processing of the company payroll, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities :
Administer payroll for existing employees, new starters and leavers
Maintain accurate and efficient payroll records
Calculate overtime, sickness and statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP etc.)
Manage RTI submissions and ensure compliance with auto-enrolment legislation
Ensure payroll deadlines are consistently met and thoroughly checked
Liaise with the People Team and Finance to ensure smooth payroll operations
Act as the first point of contact for payroll-related queries
Produce routine and ad-hoc payroll reporting
Support with additional duties as required

About You:
Proven payroll experience
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation
Ability to work accurately to strict deadlines
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
