Dunbia are one of Europe’s leading food processing companies. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has previous HR experience and is interested in expanding their skills in a well‑established HR team. The role of HR Officer will be to provide advice and support to both on‑site managers and employees with all generalist HR activities. This will include, but is not limited to, recruitment and onboarding, coaching and training, employee relations, absence management, employee engagement, performance management and related site generalist HR administrative support.
Responsibilities- Work closely with the on‑site management team to support the delivery of all people policies and processes (i.e. performance management, employee relations, disciplinary, grievance, absence management) in line with best practice and legislative requirements.
- Provide first‑line day‑to‑day advice, guidance and hands‑on support for Managers and employees across a wide range of people matters.
- Work with line managers to ensure headcount levels are maintained, driving and coordinating all recruitment activities to include dealing with recruitment enquiries, advertising, screening and interviewing.
- Plan and carry out all onboarding activities.
- Prepare statistical and management information, in relation to absence, headcount, working time, overtime, training etc, on a weekly/monthly basis, working with the HR Manager / HRBP to identify trends/patterns and opportunities for improvement.
- Manage the absence process, including Occupational Health referrals, short‑term and long‑term sickness management meetings.
- Co‑ordination of all site HR administration.
- Work with the relevant parties to prepare for Ethical Trading, HR and other internal site audits.
- Co-ordination of monthly Employee Forum meetings.
- Experience of working in a HR site‑based role (preferably meat processing, manufacturing, warehousing or similar factory‑based environment).
- Strong and effective communication skills.
- Ability to build partnerships across multiple internal functions.
- Ability to influence key stakeholders.
- Proactive and able to work under own initiative.
- Strong team working skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Ideally CIPD qualified and / or working towards.
- Ability to speak a second language fluently, e.g. Polish, Bulgarian, Romanian.
