Brown Brothers Manufacturing is searching for a decisive, people-centric On-Site HR Manager to oversee and elevate our HR function. This is a hands-on, high-impact role tailored for an HR business partner who thrives under the fast-paced pressures of the FMCG sector. Managing a major 500+ employee operation, you will collaborate closely with our Group HR Projects Manager to champion cultural shifts and execute new business change initiatives.

Core Responsibilities & Strategic Projects

In this role, you won't just manage processes; you will drive change. Your immediate focus will encompass:

  • HRIS & Systems Transformation: Spearheading the optimisation and transition of our Time & Attendance (T&A) software (Tensor and Mitrefinch) to guarantee flawless data integrity.
  • Talent Development: Launching, embedding, and tracking our newly established Personal Development Programme (Clearview, part of One Advanced) across the site.
  • L&D Optimisation: Partnering with Group leadership to design and roll out bespoke, site-wide training initiatives.
  • Complex Employee Relations: Acting as the ultimate authority on disciplinary actions, grievances, industrial relations, and employee welfare cases to foster a fair, transparent workplace.
  • Performance Metrics: Championing the site-wide Performance and Development Review (PDR) cycle to boost retention, morale, and operational output.
  • Data & Compliance: Auditing personnel records and T&A systems to ensure 100% accurate payroll processing, while aligning with H&S teams to safeguard compliance.
  • Team Leadership: You will directly manage, mentor, and inspire a skilled, 5-person on-site HR team:
  • 1 x Talent & Recruitment Specialist
  • 1 x Training Coordinator
  • 1 x HR Graduate
  • 2 x HR Administrators

What You Bring to the Table

  • Credentials: CIPD Level 7 (Advanced Diploma) is highly preferred. Candidates actively working toward this qualification with extensive equivalent experience are welcome to apply.
  • Industry Expertise: A minimum of 5 years in HR Management, specifically within high-intensity Manufacturing, Logistics, or FMCG environments.
  • Industrial Relations: Confident capability in navigating and working constructively with trade unions.
  • Technical Literacy: Exceptional analytical and data-management skills. You must be deeply familiar with HRIS platforms and possess a hawk-like attention to detail regarding timekeeping data.
  • Leadership Style: A proactive, autonomous decision-maker who puts people first while effectively managing the demands of a high-headcount facility.

Why Join Brown Brothers?
